Our stories are focusing on 'Nature's Fury'. This includes stories about earthquakes, tornadoes, and volcanoes. We will begin to venture into Tall Tales.
We are working in reading centers for each story. Students are expected to follow the directions, stay on task, and complete all work in their folders.
The centers include: Vocabulary Building, Computer (Mrs. Hunsberger's Education City), Journal Station, Science Reader, Listening Center, and Mrs. Hunsberger's group meeting. These centers were created to build team relationships, co-operative learning opportunities, vocabulary, listening skills, reading comprehension, and understanding content area reading.
