Math in 5th grade is exploring many areas that are important in every day activities.
We have already explored: prime and composite numbers; place value with whole numbers and decimals; adding, subtracting, and multiplying whole numbers and decimals; and number stories. It is important that we continue to review what we have already learned in order to build on our prior knowledge.
We will begin working with fractions, graphs, decimals, geometry, and shapes.
